2017 is an important year in Virginia politics.  In the 50th House District (Manassas and Bristow), we have a wonderful opportunity to elect Lee J. Carter as the first Democrat to represent the district.  Lee is taking on the Republican Majority Whip in a district that Hillary won by 12.5 points last November.

This is a fight we can win, and we’re going to need your help to do it.

Please join us on Saturday, April 29, from 2 pm to 4 pm, at the home of Dianne Brower Lane at 9327 Camphor Ct, Manassas, VA 20110 for a meet and greet with Lee.

Lee will listen to your concerns, share his thoughts on issues facing the district and the Commonwealth, and answer any questions. Light refreshments will be served.

Suggested donation: $25 per person (but feel free to give more!)

Any donations by check should be made out to Carter for Virginia. Cash is accepted as well.

A message from our host:  When we moved to Manassas almost 20 years ago we felt like fish out of water: a native NY’er and Canadian who were socially liberal. We met people who looked like us but with whom we had little in common. Fast forward 20 years — Manassas and the 50th are a multicultural environment where liberal ideals and values are finally not something to be spoken of in hushed voices. Liberal ideas and values – human values – are beginning to flourish like a beautiful garden. But all gardens need nourishment and caretakers. Come join us and be a gardener for liberal ideas. Let’s cultivate the garden for our future.
