I couldn’t help but notice yesterday that Hal’s posse has been out blanketing Manassas with yard signs and large campaign signs. Using the color blue (Democratic color), the signs, like his website, fail to mention that he is a hard right Republican or a Republican at all. Mayor Tie-Breaker has demonstrated that he is a puppet of the extreme local GOP by ignoring the residents of Georgetown South who do not want a parking district, a cash cow for the police. And what about the special use permit zoning? No question there: Appeal to the extreme base and there would be no GOP primary challenger. He claims to be part of improving the Northern Virginia transportation system which has to be characterized as an utter failure for the Manassas to Centreville Route 28 corridor. It’s great for Fairfax and Loudoun County with zero benefit for Manassas. But I will admit that he is an expert in ribbon cutting.
