Kyle McCullough must replace Jackson Miller

IMG_0685Let’s face it:   Republican Jackson Miller’s most memorable community moment is when he organized a big hullabaloo over Temptations, the lingerie shop that is now closed (like so many other non-restaurant Manassas businesses.)  He managed to rile the extreme right wing masses and transported them to a Manassas City Council meeting wringing his hands that the shop would attract drug dealers and perverts.  Well, that never happened.  But the point is that Miller used this false angst to solidify his extreme right wing base.

This cannot continue.

Kyle McCullough has the facts that Miller has chosen to ignore:  Miller has refused to insure 400,000 working Virginians with Federal money that is also tax money that we have already paid to the Federal government.  Miller has refused to raise the minimum wage which may not seem relevant to most well-heeled folks in Northern Virginia but along with other Republicans, low wages have a negative impact on many other areas of Virginia.  Miller has seen to it that public schools are underfunded while campaigning for vouchers for not only private but religious schools.  Miller has supported underfunding Virginia’s colleges which has dropped by 54% between 1979 and 2011 not to mention student debt. Miller has also support legislation to shut down access to women’s health care (Cancer screening, routine health exams, etc.).  Even though government funding is not available for abortion services, Miller and his ilk would be pleased if all access was denied for all services if abortions are in any way part of a separate service.  I suspect that he is also opposed to contraception.

Miller has to go.   We must vote for Kyle McCullough in November.
