A Northern Virginia Democratic Activist Summit, organized by the Northern Virginia local Democratic Committee chairs, will be held on Sunday, April 23, from 11:00 am to 5:30 pm at Fairfax High School, 3501 Rebel Run, Fairfax, VA 22030.

Subtitled “How Progressives Win”, this summit is a timely training and organizing opportunity to help build our local Democratic committees, prepare prospective candidates to run successful campaigns for elected office, and focus the recent wave of grassroots progressive activism in the wake of Donald Trump’s election.

The list of summit speakers includes Representatives Gerry Connolly and Don Beyer, Jr.   Many other elected officials and candidates in the June 13th Democratic primary will attend.

The program will have two tracks of concurrent sessions: one for prospective candidates and campaign staff and one for local Democratic Committee members, progressive volunteers, and grassroots activists.  View the Summit program here.

The summit will be followed by socializing with Democratic primary candidates and other summit participants at nearby at P.J. Skidoos, immediately across Fairfax Blvd from the summit venue.

Registration, hosted by the Fairfax County Democratic Committee, is now open for all progressive activists, volunteers, and potential candidates.  Register here: [ https://act.myngp.com/Forms/8251006335072995328 ].  The price is only $10 which essentially covers the cost of the included box lunch.
