LuAnn Bennett, a real estate executive who was once married to former Virginia Democratic Congressman Jim Moran (VA-8), has announced her campaign to run as a Democrat for Virginia’s 10th Congressional District seat in 2016 against freshman Republican Congresswoman Barbara Comstock.  Ms Bennett, a 35-year Virginia resident, currently lives in McLean.

In a Washington Post interview, Ms Bennett describes her policy positions as “definitely pro-choice”, “very much for common-sense gun safety measures like universal background checks and closing the gun-show loophole”, and “for transportation and infrastructure upgrades”.
